There are several hotels around JNCASR, including international chains such as Marriott, Holiday Inn, Radisson, Hilton etc. and reachable by 30 mins drive from airport (Uber service is inexpensive and great!),
Bengaluru is known as the Garden City of India. It is also the Science City of India with internationally reputed higher education and research Institutes such as Indian Institute of Science (top academic Institute in India and international ranking in the range 250-300), National Centre for Biological sciences (NCBS), Institute for Stem cell technology (Instem), Raman research Institute (RRI), Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Brain Research Centre, International Centre for Theoretical Sciences, Indian Institute of Management and a large number of public sector undertakings.
